About me
Marek Walczak is a co‑author and serves as General Manager of i‑Rays, the first observability platform for the IBM i ecosystem, developed by Omnilogy. He has been deeply connected to the AS/400 and IBM i environment since the very beginning of his career. From 1997 to 2007, he served as the first President of COMMON Poland, playing a key role in building and supporting the local IBM i community.
Marek’s extensive experience on both sides of the market—as a technology buyer and a solution provider—has given him a profound understanding of the challenges, risks, and real‑world considerations involved in acquiring and implementing complex IT systems. He holds an MBA from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and, outside of work, is an avid sailor.
